Samuel Coppin


Born in Australia in 1980 Samuel began studying the piano at the age of five and cello at the age of ten. He made his debut at sixteen performing Haydn’s C major cello concerto throughout Europe and Australia.

After initial studies in Australia Samuel decided to further his education abroad, subsequently studying in New Zealand, France, USA, Belgium and Sweden.

Samuel has won numerous awards from around the world and is regularly invited as guest principal in leading Scandinavian orchestras. He is first cellist of Västerås Sinfonietta since 2009.
